Bodrum Bodrum...

If you ask, ‘How was Bodrum?’...

Bodrum hasn’t become crowded yet... Prices are expensive as usual; that is, close to Istanbul but not exaggerated yet... The weather is wonderful...

Of course, I only put my foot in the sea. For me, the sea season doesn’t start until July.

Still, being by the sea, getting its air and smelling it was nice.

Anyway, you know that a car is essential for transportation in Bodrum.

When we last came, we rented a car from the cheapest one on the internet, supposedly because it would be cheap.

Then I told about the scandal we experienced in my column, ‘‘Be careful if you rent a car online! Don’t let them fool you with those big fonts. They hide everything in those tiny pages they write. Then they say, “Sir, it was written, you didn’t read it” and leave the business!’’

Afterwards, no official came to ask what happened or apologized.

Since we had been burned before, this time we decided to call the car rental company we found and talk to them, ask them thoroughly and verify so that we would not be victimized.

Good coincidences do not come my way very often, but luck smiled upon us and we came across a decent company.

Just as I write about the bad, I would like to write about the good ones by giving them their due.

The name of the company is ‘Bodrum My Transfer’.

We spoke to Mr. Erkan. He kept every promise he made to us. We rented a very nice car for a very reasonable price. They did not ask for a penny more than what was said.

We are so used to being ripped off and deceived these days that it is strange when you come across an honest tradesman.
